Digital Media Economy and Cognitive Neural Communication

The Digital Media Economy and Cognitive Neural communication Team of the School of Journalism and Communication at Beijing Normal University is composed of seven teachers: Professor  Guoming Yu, Professor Hanqing Ding, Professor Jianqiang Yu, Associate Professor Hui Qu, Associate Professor Ya Yang, Professor Lichao Xiu, and Professor Chen Gan. The team adheres to the research philosophy of promoting disciplinary innovation while also taking into account traditional academic logic, and adheres to the concept that scientific research should serve teaching in conducting research.

The current research of the academic team mainly focuses on media production and consumption, behavioral communication, gaming and DAO media, cognitive competition, digital marketing, etc., and has achieved some empirical research results and theoretical research breakthroughs in various aspects, which have been published in high-level CSSCI journals. In the future, the team will continue to focus on constructing the theoretical foundation for the reconstruction of future communication studies, using cognitive neuroscience research methods and social science empirical survey research methods to conduct behavioral communication and applied communication research frontiers, and conducting related research on games from the perspective of cognitive neuroscience. At the same time, in the field of media economy, the team will also promote the research and development of media economics by publishing demonstrative results, and attach importance to the construction of case libraries and other disciplinary infrastructure. We will also focus on researching cutting-edge phenomena in internet development, such as the consumption behavior of Generation Z.
