News and Digital Literacy 

The research team on Marxist Journalism and Network Literacy at the School of Journalism and Communication of Beijing Normal University consists of five teachers: Zengquan Fang,Suhong Song, Bin Liu, Xuejing Qi, andYing Yuan. The team continues to integrate internal and external advantageous resources, carry out interdisciplinary innovation based on the background of new liberal arts construction, and expand new scenarios for basic education practice in the new era.

At present, the academic team is firmly rooted in the educational positioning of Beijing Normal University, focusing on the forefront and innovative application trends of the news and communication industry, and serving the major strategic development needs of the country. The team's research mainly focuses on network literacy, AI literacy, Marxist journalism, party building, media and gender, media economics, communication ethics and regulations, and has established the Youth Network Literacy Research Center of the School of Journalism and Communication at Beijing Normal University to empower the improvement of basic education quality and promote balanced development of education. In the future, the academic team will focus on accelerating the construction of a "network power" and "digital China", paying attention to the improvement of network literacy for special groups such as women, helping rural revitalization, and bridging the digital divide; Deeply implement the strategy of "revitalizing the country through science and education", rooted in educational advantages, based on information technology, and opening up new development tracks; We will firmly promote cultural confidence and self-improvement, and conduct research on political identity and ideological security in the field of the Internet.
